It's awesome that Wolfparade is having a resurgence because of that show Heated Rivalry. Everyone deserves to hear them.
There is a painting in the series that has the lyrics to Lazarus Online scribbled on the bottom layer over the bare canvas. The story of Rebecca who decided not to die because of the music. Rebecca is real. I believe.
Listening to Florence + the Machine I started tapping the crimson paint pen to the beat of Big God and all of that cross-hatching was unexpected and to the music. I went to grab another color--I would never have picked that orange but I have a rule that if there is one sticking out of the box, it's the one I have to use. It's often a color I don't agree with. I just say, really? And then use it anyway. I always end up loving it so I keep following the rule. So all of that orange was unexpected and tapped out to the music too.
I shake the pens like a shaker egg and listen to the sound of the tapping and the scratching on the canvas as it goes to the music.
On our few trips across the country Wolfparade was our soundtrack every time we hit Quebec. Apologies to the Queen Mary as we left Ontario and of course Cry Cry Cry when we were coming from the New Brunswick side. Leaving is always hardest.

When I put this in the picture window when the sun is shining in, the images in certain sections are magical. A beautiful light.
