This painting was originally inspired by the back of the Bangles' Different Light album That's an attempt at a charcoal and chalk pastel Susanna Hoffs. At least her spirit is there if not really her likeness. I put it away for months and then I took it out again after listening to Daron Malakian on Rick Rubin's podcast and it became Lost in Hollywood.
It then started mirroring an early draft of Eden, pictured below.
It's still very much in progress.
